The Safari Bar located within Patpong Soi 1 is one of Bangkok's oldest bars and defiantly looks it from the outside but looks can be deceiving as I found out when ventured inside for the first time I was expecting a run done old sleazy bar but what I found was a well maintained and clean bar with a good atmosphere.
The Safari Bar Is long and narrow but a good size with 2 dance floors for the gogo dancers one on the LHS facing the tables then the other dance floor is against the back wall and tonight that is the one in operation with 4 dancers on stage 2 would be mid 20's and the other 2 late 30's one of the older dancers was stunning what a hot body fit and lean.
When I entered the music was Country and Western but moved along nicely to The Rolling Stones, Doors, Beatles then finally Elvis was playing by the time I left. People can dance in front of the 2nd dance floor which they did with some of the older bargirls who really did know how to get it on with the older guys.
Apart from the 2 dancers in their 20's which no one was interested in HA HA there were around 10 bargirls inside from late 30's and into their 40's and 4 of them I thought owe yeah I would do that you have to give credit where credit is due, some of these chicks have really looked after themselves.
The prices at the Safari Bar are good with a Tiger Beer costing 120฿ and they have a sense of humor when it comes to barfine pricing which is set at 699฿. You will feel the safari theme when you enter with the thousands of flowers on the ceiling.
If you want to get away from the regular gogo bars with the thumping music just ‘boom, boom, boom’ then check out the Safari Bar with their super clean bar, interesting theme and friendly staff makes for a very enjoyable night out in Patpong.
